Privacy policy
The credit union must provide the credit union privacy policy to new members and to all members at least once a year. The policy can be included as part of a quarterly newsletter or can be a separate document. The credit union will not furnish any personal or financial information to any individual or business via the telephone or e-mail. We will only provide financial information on a member's account with written authorization by the member. This information provided must be in a written document and we will maintain a record of the information provided along with a copy of the document signed by the member authorizing release of the information. This normally is limited to savings and loan information on their accounts that is requested by mortgage companies.
We will not provide anyone with a member's address, social security number, telephone number or any personal information that we have on file regarding members. Only the credit union office staff has access to members' personal or financial information on file. This information is not to be shared with any other credit union official. Loan applications and credit reports are available only to office staff and loan officers only for approving loans.
