Accounts

The Credit Union offers the following accounts:

• Share Accounts – Minimum Balance is $25.
• Christmas Club – Checks distributed October 1st each year.
• Vacation Club – Checks distributed April 1st each year.
• Escrow Accounts – established for those with real estate loans to save for property  tax and insurance payments.
• Share Certificates – we currently offer 12-Month and 18-Month Certificates.

Loans:

The Credit Union offer the following types of loans with competitive rates:

• New Vehicle Loans – Terms up to 7 Years (84 Months).
• Used Vehicle Loans – Terms up to 6 Years (72 Months), maximum loan amounts up to 100% Kelley Blue Book retail value.
• Home Equity Loans – The Credit Union will finance up to 80% of the home's appraised equity for up to 15 Years (180 Months).
• Signature Loans – Terms up 5 Years (60 Months).  The Credit Union will loan up to $6,000 to members who are employees of Dow Chemical/Trinseo.  Family members can borrow up to $4,000.  All signature loans require a 15% pledge balance maintained in the member's Share account.

Real-Time Payments:

Real-Time Payments (RTPs) are instant electronic transfers of funds from your Credit Union account to your bank account.  Most major banks have this service available.  RTPs are similar to wire transfers, but your bank will not charge you a fee, nor will the Credit Union.  We expect RTPs to be a replacement for checks and wire transfers.  The best part is that our members can request an RTP by phone and will not have to make a trip to the Credit Union or their bank.  Contact the Credit Union to see if your bank participates.

Wire Transfers:

The Credit Union provides up to 2 wire transfers per month per member at no charge.  After 2 wires, the wire transfer charge is $15/transfer.  Wire transfers can be handled over the phone.  The member needs to provide the routing number and account number, and beneficiary name (if different from the member).Your bank may also charge you a fee for the incoming wire transfer.

Loan Insurance:

The Credit Union offers credit life and disability insurance on our Signature and Vehicle loans.  There is a 30-day waiting period.  The maximum benefit on this insurance is $30,000 with a monthly payment of $600.
